509 Railroad Street
" Brethren Parsonage "

Like the Brethren church, this building was originally located on the north side of Spruce Street between 7th and 8th streets. It was built as the parsonage for the Brethren minister, next door to the church. It is still used as a parsonage by the Community Church pastor.

"The parsonage was built on the 7th Street property. The church hired a moving company from Medford to move it up to the Railroad Avenue property & set it up. The garage was a woodshed on the 7th Street property. The members of the church and friends of the community celebrated the church's 100th anniversary in Myrtle Point in July, 1973.
The Church of the Brethren bought this property from Frank and Anna Tripp on March 22, 1950 and the property from Walter & Ella Tripp May 17, 1950. The property was sold to the Myrtle Point Community Church on December 6, 1988.
