708 Harris Street
" Solomon Samuel Endicott "

Dr. Solomon Samuel Endicott came to Coos County in 1875 and settled on what is now called Endicott Creek. In 1912, he sold the old homestead and built the new house in Myrtle Point.

The home was used as bookstore (Jan's House of Books) and as a fabric store (Jan's House of Fabrics) in the 1990's but has now been returned to a private residence.

Information on the Heritage Homes website was compiled from Reflections of the Past: Myrtle Point, Oregon Historic Buildings, a project of the Myrtle Point Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and the Coos County Logging Museum (circa 1985) and Take a Break in Historic Myrtle Point produced by the Myrtle Point Chamber of Commerce (circa 1975) unless otherwise noted.
