N.P. Peterson Home
"
This home was built in 1905. It was known as the N.P. Peterson home. Mr. Peterson ran a local merchantile. It was later owned in the mid 1960's by Lloyd M. Robinson.
It is still used as a single family home.
Sara Marie Peterson
Sara Marie Nissen was born in Denmark, August 20, 1851, coming to this country and settling in Bath, Minnesota May 12, 1876. She was
married to N.P. Peterson on August 12 of that same year and to this union five children were born, two of whom died in infancy.
In Nov. 1888 they came to California and to Myrtle Point May 21, 1927 [sic; see notes below which questions this date]. On May 13, 1932 she
succumbed to congestion of the liver and complications due to her advanced years.
In addition to her husband she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Brothwick, Mrs. Emma Moller, both of Myrtle Point, and Mrs. Laura
Kildale of Eureka, California, one sister, Mrs. Christina Rasmussen, of Ferndale, California, and one brother, James Nissen, of Berkeley, California.
The funeral services were held at the Schroeder funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon with Rev. Turner MacDonald officiating. Interment followed
in Norway cemetery.

N. P. Peterson was Santa Claus to a lot of little people several days preceding Christmas. He gave to the boys pocket knives and to the girls dressed
dolls as long as they lasted and after that sacks of candy.

Right of Way Obtained
Marshfield, Or., Oct. 12, (Special) -- Right of way for the mile and a half of the state highway in the vicinity of Myrtle Point where a railroad
crossing will be dispensed with, is being obtained and ranchers are being paid for the bottom land they are giving up for the highway. The county
court has ordered these adjustments paid from the county treasury: Jesse Clinton, $1500; Henry Radabaugh, $1000; E.L. Clausen, $450; N.P. Peterson, $1570.

Mrs. Anna Brotton - Lloyd M. Robinson
MYRTLE POINT-- A double funeral service for Lloyd Mack Robinson, 78, late resident of 335 Alder St. Myrtle Point, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Brotton, 71, Powers, will be held at 2 p.m. in the Myrtle Point Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Norway Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson was born at Powers on June 29, 1888. He died April 8 in Mast Hospital. A farmer, he had spent most of his life in Oregon.
Mrs. Brotton died April 7, in Eugene. She was born May 4, 1895, in Powers. She is survived by her widower, Edward N., Powers; a son, Austin, and two daughters, Mrs. Betty Shorb and Mrs. Lois Barkdell [sic; Barkdoll], all of Powers; 10 grandchildren.
Survivors of both Mr. Robinson and Mrs. Brotton are: a brother, Roy Robinson, Ukiah, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Hollie Burant [sic], Port Orford; Mrs. Ruby Huntley, and Mrs. Ethel Hollenbeck, both of Myrtle Point, and Mrs. Pauline Sessions, Ashland; numerous nieces and nephews.
