1232 Maryland Avenue
" Laird / McMullen House "

Built in 1903, this home features 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and still retains most of the original light fixtures, hardwood built-ins and ceiling details. The home is reported to have been built from the same floor plans as the Taylor Dement Home on 5th Street. It was owned in 1940 by logger Pinkston W. & his wife Mabel A. Laird. It was originally owned by the McMullen family and is still referred to by that name. Over the years, it has been used as a restaurant, a ceramics studio, and a variety of other businesses while still remaining a private residence.

The home was recently listed for sale for $399,000.

Information on the Heritage Homes website was compiled from Reflections of the Past: Myrtle Point, Oregon Historic Buildings, a project of the Myrtle Point Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and the Coos County Logging Museum (circa 1985) and Take a Break in Historic Myrtle Point produced by the Myrtle Point Chamber of Commerce (circa 1975) unless otherwise noted.
