Built: 1908

This home was the longtime residence of the Cecil C. Carter family. Alta M. Carter was the daughter of Coos County historian, Orvil Ovando Dodge who passed away at her home in 1914.

Cecil C. Carter's new home is rapidly nearing completion, the carpenters are now engaged in finishing up the interior.

The home was used as a boarding house for teachers when it was owned by Florence (Carter) Sumerlin.
