Todd, of Round Hill Farm, near Arago, and proprietor and manager of the broom factory at that place....Mr. Todd is an enterprising, good citizen, and deserves special encouragement in the industry which he has instituted. He is a practical broom maker and came from where corn was one of the staple productions, and having invested in a home here, the counsel that "corn won't grow here," and the "I told you so" disparaging criticism, up to this time he made a small experiment the past season, but sufficient to assure him that he will succeed at the next trial. Mr. Todd is making an extra good and neat article of brooms, and supplies our home market almost entirely. Our merchants handle his manufacture willingly and the brooms are popular with our people. Mr. Todd is putting out a large orchard also, and will take a hand in growing good fruit and carefully preparing the same for market. + RR climate clipa 4c CCH Mar 7, 1899 Wm. Mr. Timon is one of our practical mining men and has succeeded in this county where others have failed. He has been successfully operating a mine at Riverton for the past five years, but owing to slack shipping facilities has been forced to come to this side of the Isthmus.
